Embroidered Lace Applique Ball Gown Wedding Dress
This dress was honestly a dream come true for me. Ever since I was little I had envisioned myself getting married in a ball gown. Being kind of pudgy at 5 foot 3, I don't feel beautiful often. But this dress helped me feel absolutely gorgeous at my wedding.
Things to know about this dress:
- The hem was altered to me (5'3") while wearing three inch heels, with about an inch or two of extra length on the ground.
- It still has its train, and it also has four "secret" buttons on the back for bustling.
- There's also a small rectangular piece sewn in the middle of the bust on the inside of the dress, and it's there to help keep a corset or strapless bra tucked inside the dress.
- The appliques on the bodice do rub on your underarms some, but I personally didn't have an issue with this.
- My only complaint about it is that, with it being strapless, by the halfway point in our wedding I was tugging it up more often than I was hoping (but that is 100% my bust's fault and not the dress). The dress does have its own corset and boning.
- Why the high selling price: I'm not just selling the dress. I'm also selling my veil and my underskirt with it! Everything together, about $1400 was spent, but the price is negotiable because I know how crazy expensive the wedding industry is. I'm more than happy to include more detailed shots if you'd like a better look at anything.
